I'm like a little kid on Christmas Eve. College football (a few early games nonwithstanding) starts tomorrow. I don't want to go to bed tonight, and I'll be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow. My Gators are on at 10:30a MDT, and my most beloved Crimson Tide hits the field at 6:00p. I can't hardly stand it.

The sooner I go to sleep, the sooner it gets here!

There's been a lot going on the past few days:

• Yesterday: My parents' anniversary. Makes me miss my mom.

• Yesterday: Kim and I went to see Weird Al. Great show, as usual. It's my third time to see him. I am such a dork.

• Today: Got the sad news this morning that the husband of one of my faculty colleagues (the one I team-taught with last fall) died while on a fishing trip yesterday. Don was a good man, and I'll miss him.

• Today: Did my first real pullup at the gym today, probably the first one in about 20 years. Amazing. All credit to CrossFit. I also added 20 pounds to my total in the WOD.

• Today: Kim met Montana's governor and his dog (a border collie!) today. Cool. I'm sure she'll post about it later.

• Tomorrow: Long work day planned on campus. Also, meet with a new private student on tuba.

• Friday: Kim and I leave for an anniversary camping trip in Yellowstone National Park. Wheeeee!!!
