This composition is the first
in a series of works that I am writing for the senior
recitals of my graduating students. The text is from a poem
of the same title by my friend Neil Flory.
out there
trudging the long unforgiving
road of stone and thorn and old iron out there
trudging endlessly dreaming of cool spring
storms luscious moments of pure sleep sweet
remembrances of that one particular
tender morning
